Have you ever seen the film of John Cusack and Diane Lane, Must Love Dogs? In this movie, Sarah’s sister registers her on a dating web site and includes the description of “must love dogs” on her profile. One afternoon in May, I filled out the be2 personality test out of curiosity. Looking at Cubbie, my dog, I also put “must love dogs” on my personal profile hoping that things would happen just like in the film. Aside from playing with Cubbie, one of my leisure activities was going to be2 website. I was excited of the new messages every day. After joining be2 a month later, I saw Thomas’ profile. His username was the same name as Cubbie’s food brand. Since we had a high be2 Index and his occupation was a veterinarian, I was interested in him and gave him my attention.
From our email exchanges, I could feel that he’s a shy and honest guy. However, we did not ask for photos, contact information or dates. We preferred to know each other better. We both like John Mayer, Tom Tykwer and Run Lola Run, do not like coffee with milk, like fruits more than chocolate, but the most important thing was we both love dogs. As I got to know him more, I wanted to meet him in person.
Bringing Cubbie with me, we met at his clinic at Eastpoint last May. He was well-mannered. Although he did not say much, he gave me an honest and sincere impression. From then on, we started going out.
We dated, dined out, did shopping, went to the park and played with Cubbie. We have the same interests and it’s not a big deal to choose a film together. One and a half month after, after a perfect candlelight dinner, he asked me to become his girl friend.
‘Wake up with the one you love, look at his smile, have breakfast, read newspaper together, and then spend the whole day in bed.’ I agree with Sarah. Love is simple yet incredible. Meeting Thomas was the most important thing for me in 2008. Thank God I met my special one just like Sarah did in the film. Cubbie loves his papa, too. Thanks be2 for helping us find our love.
